"Carly is the most amazing doula and just generally a wonderful person. I can't recommend her enough. Within 5 minutes of talking to her I knew she'd be a great fit, and her passion for the work was obvious. Whether you want an unmedicated labor or if you're planning a c section she is exactly who you want in your corner. She will do anything she can to help you have the birth experience you want. Babies don't always cooperate, but she will easily help you navigate any roadblocks you encounter. She is a phenomenal coach, exceptionally caring and nurturing, and so talented at knowing when to change things up to help you cope with labor. She has a big bag of tools to help manage your pain and so much knowledge on how to make your movements count. There's no such thing as a perfect labor, but with Carly's help there isn't a single thing I would change about my recent birth. I felt in control, so thoroughly supported and cared for. I'm not planning any more kids, but if I was I would have her on my team again in a heartbeat. Birth is messy, unpredictable and can be intimidating, but she will be a stabilizing force for you and anyone else there to support you. "Having Carly there to support me through labor and delivery of my second baby was such a great experience and I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting the same thing! After having a long and not ideal labor and delivery with my first baby I knew I wanted to find a doula that would be there to support me, my preferences for my birth and also be an advocate for me and my husband in the hospital where doctors can feel pushy at times with interventions. Carly is such a knowledgable and skilled doula and helped me labor in the comfort of my own home giving constant support using her doula bag of tricks to help me get through contractions and emotionally coaching me to keep me in the right mindset until she knew I was ready to head to the hospital. I only labored another 4 hours in the hospital before giving birth, but during that time Carly had a great rapport with the nurses and doctors and helped be an advocate to give my husband and I time and support when we needed to discuss choices we wanted to make during labor and delivery. My birth experience the second time around with Carly by my side was a total 180 to my first experience and I am so happy with the amazing support I received from her during the whole process. After delivery Carly stayed a couple hours to make sure I was doing well and she also took some very special photos during the labor and delivery that I will cherish forever. A couple weeks after birth Carly does an in person check in and brings a delicious homemade meal of choice that was one of the best meals I’ve had. "If you are looking for an experienced, sweet, and hardworking doula, hire Carly. My husband and I were first time parents and were feeling pretty overwhelmed. We recently moved to the Reno/ Sparks area and had no support system locally so decided we needed to hire a postpartum doula. We interviewed a few different doulas, but connect with Carly right away. She’s extremely knowledgeable, great at communication, and is overall just so easy to talk to. She truly just felt like a friend coming over to help out. She taught us things like baby wearing, properly prepping bottles, bath time, breast feeding and pumping, how to get our baby burped and into nap time.. Honestly she helped with too many to even list. One of the best perks was her cooking. She is an incredible chef (her Italian dishes are her specialty!) she offers meal prepping for a low fee which kept us fed when we barely had time to think about food. She even handled light cleaning around the house. Hiring her allowed my husband and I to finally have a chance to catch up on sleep, get things done around the house, and gave us a perfect person to coach us through all the hands on stuff. "Hire Carly!!!! She’s fantastic! My husband and I were both on the fence about having a doula, but we are so glad we did. We interviewed a bunch and knew in the first 5 minutes of talking to Carly that she was the one for us. She immediately puts you at ease and is obviously incredibly knowledgeable. After my experience I would say hiring a doula should be everyone’s top priority. (If you’re financially pinched, get the doula instead of the crib, seriously). She meets with you multiple times before birth and also meets with you after birth which is invaluable. (Not to mention the homemade pasta and sourdough waffles!) From the moment she stepped into our home, she instantly felt like part of the family — you find yourself laughing and crying with her within minutes. She supported us with lactation, feeding, and all the emotional ups and downs of new parenthood. But more than anything, she gave us the education and confidence we needed to actually trust ourselves as parents - knowledge we still rely on today. A massive help were the delicious, nourishing meals she made us each week - we still cook her recipes (Korean meatballs and roast sweet potatoes are a fam fav)! One of our favorite memories: our son was struggling to take a bottle from us, and Carly had him drinking a full bottle in about five minutes flat — we were so amazed we timed it and recorded it on video. Total “bottle whisperer” status. Once her time with us ended, we genuinely missed having her around, not just for the support, but because we loved hanging out with her! I can’t imagine any new parent not having the chance to work with Carly. If you want a doula who’s knowledgeable, warm, and feels like family, she’s the one!"

"TLDR: Hire Carly ASAP. She is an exceptional doula, and I (and my husband!) couldn't have had the birth experience we had without her. If I were to ever move, I would fly her to wherever I would be giving birth to be by my side. I have so much to say and don't know where to begin! I truly believe Carly has a calling to do this work and support women through these transformative experiences, so much so that I think she should train other women to be doula's. I had an unmedicated induction made possible by Carly's physical and emotional coaching, encouragement, and support. There is no way I would've been able to have had the birth experience I had without her. It would've been easy for Carly to sub out and not come to my birth. I had a short notice induction 3 weeks early, and called her no less than 36 hours before I needed to go into the hospital. I informed her as as she was walking out of another birth!! Not only did she show up at my house 5 hours after leaving her other birth, she attended my full 24 hour birth having just done a birth two days prior. The energy, kindness and focus she brought to my birth despite what I can only imagine be immense exhaustion is truly remarkable. My husband was by my side my entire birth hip squeezing and providing other physical and emotional support he wouldn't have otherwise been able to provide without Carly's coaching. And without me knowing, they were in constant flow of communication about what I could use/need. Carly is also utterly professional - I gave birth in a hospital and you never know how doctors and nurses will feel. Carly, however, made friends with the nursing staff!!! She also helped ensure I advocated for what I wanted with the doctors, which you really need... I didn't think I would, but it's true -- advocating for yourself (even in amazing hospitals) is really hard in L&D rooms (and I had an uncomplicated labor)... Also, while this may be obvious, Carly is on YOUR team. Though I wanted an unmedicated labor, as soon as I was in transition and requested an epidural (ultimately I couldn't get one because there was no time) she was ready to help me get me one asap! On top of all of this, I had terrible post partum insomnia and Carly extended her stay with me during her last visit to support me and gave me a ton of resources. You'll be in great hands with Carly :)"

*Postpartum packages are to be paid in full upon contract signing (unless payment plan has been discussed upon scheduling), Hourly rate fees will be billed at the end of each week worked
